Winter Weather has moved into East Texas and it is bone-chilling cold outdoors. In addition to the cold temperatures, a mixture of winter weather has fallen across East Texas as well.

Snow, sleet, and freezing rain have been falling across East Texas since Sunday afternoon causing some issues with roads throughout East Texas.

Today is a holiday, MLK Day, and while the majority of schools are closed today in observance of this holiday some schools were planning on holding classes today, but for various reasons - weather, road conditions, no power, no water - those school districts across the region that planned on holding classes today have cancelled or delayed the beginning of classes for Monday, January 15th.

Additionally, other school districts have announced closure or delayed starts for Tuesday, January 16th.

The list of delays and closures will be updated as information becomes available.
