C’mon Man, Your End of the World Prediction Was Wrong. Just Stop.

Last week, we told you about a Christian Numerologist, David Meade, who said the world would end this past Saturday.

Usually, when we hear predictions, the person that laid out the news is never heard from again. Not David Meade.

After his prediction was wrong, he said that instead of September 23rd being the infamous date, it is actually just the start of a chain of catastrophes that will doom the planet.

Meade is quoted in the New York Post,

The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending. A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.

Using a combination of numerology and Bible verses again, he says there's a "significant number" to link everything; 33.

Meade says:

Jesus lived for 33 years. The name Elohim, which is the name of God for the Jews, was mentioned 33 times [in the Bible]. It’s a very biblically significant, numerologically significant number. I’m talking astronomy. I’m talking the Bible…and merging the two.

Professor and executive director of Wheaton College’s Billy Graham Center for Evangelism Ed Stetzer, told the Washington Post: "There’s no such thing as a Christian numerologist. You basically got a made-up expert in a made-up field talking about a made-up event.… It sort of justifies that there’s a special secret number codes in the Bible that nobody believes."

Mr. Meade. Just stop.

First of all, signs of the end of time have been happening since Jesus returned to Heaven. Second, as I pointed out before, we do not and have any way of knowing when the world ends.

Thanks for trying but, in technical terms, you're a kook.
