Coats For Kids – You Can Help Keep East Texas Children Warm
This year PATH (People Attempting To Help) expects to see more than 1500 East Texas children line up to receive a free coat for winter from generous East Texans.
The Coats For Kids campaign is in full swing and you can help keep a kid warm this winter by donating a new or gently used coat to participating Smith County dry cleaners.
When you donate a gently used coat to a dry cleaner they will clean the coat for free and then give them to PATH to be distributed to East Texas children that need a coat. Last year PATH handed out 1185 coats to children throughout East Texas thanks to generous donations.
Participating dry cleaners in Smith County include the following:
Dry Clean Super Center
Eagle Cleaners
Hart’s Cleaners
VIP Cleaners
Lucky’s Cleaners
Regency Cleaners
Shannon’s Cleaners
The Cleaning Company
West Gentry Dry Cleaners
Lindale Cleaners
You can also make a monetary donation through the PATH website too.
If you have a child that could use a coat this winter or know someone that needs one, all donated coats will be distributed on a first come first served basis on Saturday, November 19th from 8a - 2p and Sunday, November 20th from 1p - 4p at 2235 W. Gentry in Tyler.
