Costco Adds New Hot Food Item, Store Still Needed in Tyler, TX!

We have all the stores that we need in Tyler, Texas with Target and a handful of Walmart stores but locals are still wishing to see a Costco location move closer to East Texas. There have been rumors flying around for years that the retail warehouse giant would be coming to Tyler, and I still hear that is in the works but there are not finalized plans yet. Although recently I did have some family members tell me about a new hot food item that Costco is selling at some of their locations. 

It was just a few days ago that I was talking to some family members who mentioned they recently went to Costco, so of course I mentioned that I was jealous that they had a Costco so close to their house. But that is when I was told about a new item that was added to their hot food section, but not everyone is super excited about it.

What’s the New Hot Food Item at Costco? 

The new item is a roast beef sandwich that costs $9.99. Normally a $10 sandwich isn’t a ridiculous price but then you see other menu items like a hot dog and soda for $1.50, the price for the new sandwich seems a little steep. You can get a whole pepperoni pizza for the cost of that sandwich. I don’t know anyone who has tried the new sandwich yet, so I’m not sure if it’s worth the price or not.

Any Update on Tyler, Texas Getting a Costco Location? 

I spoke with Costco corporate and they said they don’t have any new information for me regarding a store in Tyler, Texas as of now. But if they start working on a store in our area, they will add it to their list of new locations coming soon on their website here.  

Fingers crossed the plans for a new Costco in Tyler, Texas get finalized soon.
