Maksim Chmerkovskiy was missing for the last season of Dancing With The Stars as a professional dancer because he went to pursue a gig on Broadway to dance opposite of his ex-fiance Karina Smirnoff in the Broadway show Forever Tango. Since his departure from the show, most women would like to see him return to the ballroom and dance with a celebrity and now those women just might get their wish granted for the next season.

The president of entertainment for ABC tells People magazine,

Maks is part of the family. He may well be back. We love having him a part of the show."

If he returns to the show, we're sure we'll see him butting heads with the judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.

Dancing With The Stars will be return to ABC on September 16th with Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke along with some other changes to the show too. Instead of DWTS airing two nights, the show has been revamped to be a two hour show on Monday with the results of the show possibly coming at the end of the show. Complete details on the new version haven't been released just yet.

Celebrities for the next season are expected to be announced within the next few weeks on Good Morning America.

In the mean time, you can get your Maks fix by watching some of his dances from previous seasons.
