East Texas Native Patrick Mahomes Lands On The Cover Of GQ Magazine
Whitehouse native Patrick Mahomes can now add GQ model on his resume as he graces the cover of the magazine for the month of August.
After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl win in February, and signing a blockbuster deal a few weeks ago the East Texas star is coming into his own as one of the new leaders of the NFL.
In the article Mahomes also talks about his participation with other NFL players as they released a 71 second video condemning racism after the death of George Floyd which was very risky because he haven't signed his new contract yet.
Mahomes spoke about the importance of this video.
I understand my platform. I understand that my part in the video is a big part of it. I'm in the middle of negotiating my next contract, to hopefully be a Kansas City Chief for a long time, but I still thought this was important enough and this was something that had to be said.
