
Fentanyl Found Inside Woman’s Body at Texas Border Crossing
(El Paso, Texas) We know that drug dealers and smugglers work daily attempting to bring drugs into Texas through border crossing locations.
It’s a sad reality when you think about it, because these individuals are desperate and vulnerable in many cases.
Regardless of the situation, if you attempt to smuggle drugs there is a good chance you will be caught and there will be harsh consequences.
Woman Caught Recently in El Paso
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website there was a 40-year-old woman that was caught recently attempting to smuggle fentanyl into Texas.
Officers were working at the Paso Del Norte international crossing in El Paso on May 7th when the drugs were discovered.
In total it was 113 grams of fentanyl that were hidden in the vagina of the U.S. citizen pedestrian border crosser.
This was extremely dangerous because if the package broke open it could have been lethal.

How Was the Woman Caught Smuggling the Fentanyl?
It was approximately 3:00 a.m. when the woman was selected by CBP for a secondary exam.
During that inspection the woman confessed that she had a foreign object concealed inside her body.
The woman was transported to a medical facility which confirmed the object was internally concealed.
Medical staff was able to remove the object.

What Happened to the Woman After the Drugs Were Removed?
The woman was taken back to the port of entry and arrested.
She was then handed over to Homeland Security Investigations special agents where she will be facing federal charges for the failed smuggling attempt.
