It's going to be an absolutely gorgeous weekend to get outdoors and do something fun and different in East Texas.

Now that more comfortable temperatures have settled in, have lunch on a patio sometime this weekend, hit up that pumpkin patch or nursery and get the fall plants and decorations out, and truly bring on fall and Halloween! When it comes to participating in some kind of activity or event in East Texas, you have several to choose from and be a part of this weekend.

Pets In The Park - Tyler

Pets Fur People is hosting their annual 'Pets In The Park' at Bergfeld Park from 10a - 3p Saturday. Bring the family pets out for a fun time. There will be weenie dog races, a kids area with bounce houses, contests, food trucks, animal trainers and arts and crafts vendors too.

Movies In The Park - Bergfeld Park, Tyler

The fall 'Movies In The Park' series returns to Bergfeld Park with a showing of 'Pinocchio', from 2018, on the big screen at the amphitheater. Bring some snacks, lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for a fun family event.

The movie will begin around 7:30 p.m.

Movie In The Park - Gilmer

It's 'City-Wide Movie Night' in Gilmer with a free showing of 'Minions: The Rise Of Gru'. There will be free popcorn, cotton candy, door prizes, bounce houses and food trucks on site. The event will take place in the lawn next to First National Bank in Gilmer.

Bull Riding - Jacksonville

The Nicky Wheeler Memorial Bull Riding 2022 event will be happening in Jacksonville Saturday at 6 p.m. Bull riding and mutton bustin' are on the events list and proceeds go toward youth scholarships.

Touch A Truck - Longview

Bring the kids out to experience trucks of all kinds! They can touch them, climb in them, explore them and learn about them. There will be ambulances, fire trucks, cranes, dump trucks, school busses, 18-wheelers, antique cars and more. Infatables will be available for the kids to have fun in along with many other activities and vendor booths. This event will take place in the Longview Mall parking lot Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

State Fair Of Texas - Dallas

Big Tex will be welcoming Texans to Fair Park in Dallas for the annual State Fair of Texas. This is the ultimate fair. Lots of rides, games, exhibits and world-class award-winning food of all kinds! Live entertainment will be happening all over the fairgrounds.
