Rains Intermediate in Emory in Rains County is one of the 10 finalists that could receive all new playground equipment for their students. Now the school district needs your support to help them win a new playground for the school. VOTING IS NOW OPEN and they need all the votes they can get.

Thinking back to my elementary school and our playground, all we had were a few swings, monkey bars, a teeter-totter, one of those dome climbing structures, a basketball court and a huge red brick wall to play wall ball during recess. Looking at the pictures that Rains ISD submitted to be considered for the Recess Re-Do contest, their students have a small slide and play area along with a dirt patch and a basketball court that is losing the battle to Mother Nature.

Play & Park Structures could be building a new playground for the students of Rains Intermediate, but only if the school receives the most votes. Vote daily and share this with your social circles. Every vote counts and these kids could be playing on a really cool play structure.

Every kid deserves a fun environment to play in during recess and not just a few swings or a teeter-totter! Voting will end Wednesday, June 28th so timing and voting is important.
