Lately, it seems like everyone is constantly busy. We're worried about bills, work, groceries and all the other things that come with being an adult. So, let's forget about all of that for a minute and have some fun. One of the things we all have to accomplish every week is a trip to the grocery store. And if you've spent enough time walking around one, you know every aisle has its own personality. So, I started thinking: If we had to identify East Texas towns as different grocery store aisles, which towns would make the most sense?

Some aisles are always packed. Some make you wonder why you're even there. And I think the same thing can be said about the towns around East Texas.

What If East Texas Towns Were Grocery Store Aisles?

I've got some ideas. And before anybody gets offended by their town's assignment, remember this is supposed to be fun. If I put your town in the canned vegetables aisle and you think it belongs in the meat department, I'm not throwing shade. Well...probably.

The Bigger Towns Have to Be the Busy Aisles

When you think about some of the bigger East Texas communities, Tyler and Longview are obvious choices for the busiest parts of the grocery store. Those are the places where everybody seems to be going somewhere, especially during the afternoon rush. But once you get past the obvious choices, that's when this gets really fun.

Which town has the personality of the bakery? Who belongs in frozen foods? Which town is definitely the checkout aisle? And, perhaps most importantly, which East Texas town is the meat department?

Let's Assign East Texas Towns to Grocery Store Aisles

This is where you come in. I've got my list of East Texas towns and grocery store aisles, but I'm fully prepared to be told that I got some of these completely wrong. If you have a better idea, a different town that belongs in an aisle or a comparison that is so perfect I can't ignore it, let me know.
