Jane Fonda Arrested... Again!
Actor-turned-eco-activist Jane Fonda was arrested for the fourth time in Washington DC for unlawfully demonstrating in favor of climate action. She was let off with warnings the first three arrests, but this time the she spent a night in the slammer! Regardless, the 81-year-old refuses to quit and is predicting more future arrests, all in the name of Mother Earth. She's calling her Friday plans "Fire Drill Fridays." Go Jane! Dog owners, how did you name your furry friend? In honor of the release of Lady and the Tramp, Disney partnered with smart dog collar company Fi to see how many dogs were named after Disney characters. Our money was on "Lady" or "Tramp," but 1.6 million dogs later and the big winner is... "Daisy!" Runners up include "Belle," "Zeus" and "Mickey" in race for the most popular Disney dog name. Heartbreak for the Golden State Warriors
Steph Curry is out for a minimum 45 games with a broken hand, and for fans of basketball, specifically Warriors fans, this is salt in the wound. In just the fourth game of the season, the second half of the Splash Brothers joins Klay Thompson on the injured roster for Golden State. While Thompson is out for the entire season with a torn ACL, Curry is out for a predicted three months while his left hand heals. We're devastated! (via Bleacher Report)
A Serendipitous Text Message
23-year-old Chastity Patterson lost her dad four years ago, but continued to text her late father's phone as a way to mourn and heal. Much to surprise, she received a response when she sent a longer anniversary text. Brad, the man who answered, revealed to Chastity that he lost his daughter in a car crash and that her daily messages are what kept him alive. This beautiful coincidence is just what we needed to brighten our mood! (via Daily Mail)
