Janie’s Cakes of Tyler Makes Oprah’s Favorite Things List

With the holiday season upon us, Oprah has just released her 2016 Favorite Things list, and Tyler staple is on it, Janie's Cakes!

According to our news partner KLTV.com, Oprah said, "Texas-based bakery owner Janie Clapp makes pound cake using only natural ingredients, just as her great-grandmother taught her. But Grandma never filled her cake with coffee-toffee buttercream or raspberry curd! Hands down, it’s the best pound cake I’ve ever had."

Of course, Tylerites have known this secret for nearly three decades. The bakery responded on Facebook:
