The #ALSIceBucketChallenge has swept through Facebook over the past couple of days as people are dousing themselves with buckets of ice cold water and bringing more awareness to ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

When you are challenged you have a choice to make within 24 hours - douse yourself with a bucket of ice cold water or make a donation to ALS in the amount of $100 then challenge someone else to the Ice Bucket Challenge. This reminds me of a very similar thing that was going around on Facebook here locally for the American Cancer Society back in March and April.

Justin Timberlake was challenged by a couple of survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing and he accepted it along with his band, The Tennesse Kids, and some crew members. They each had a big Home Depot bucket filled with apparently very cold water, judging from their reaction in the video below! Once Justin carried out the challenge, he issued a challenge of his own to his good friend Jimmy Fallon and included his band The Roots and his announcer Steve Higgins.

Once completed Timberlake and company went ahead and made a donation to ALS. He's waiting on Jimmy Fallon's response and the clock is ticking!
