Kilgore Millionaire: Texas Lottery Player Wins $1 Million

(Kilgore, Texas) A Kilgore resident won $1 million playing the Texas Lottery's Millionaire scratch-off game after purchasing a $20 ticket at a retailer on Southport Road. The Texas Lottery pays out jackpots daily to lucky players who pick the right numbers or scratch a ticket to reveal a jackpot. I'm still waiting for my big surprise of winning a Texas Lottery jackpot.

Kilgore Resident Wins $1 Million on a $20 Scratch-Off

I can only imagine what it would be like to win $1 million. The feeling of euphoria and knowing that you could be financially set for the rest of your life is awesome, that is, if you do it the right way. The winning ticket was from a game fittingly called Millionaire. The person who bought the $20 ticket from the Murphy station on Southport Road in Kilgore chose to remain anonymous. Now that's an investment, in my opinion, although it's still gambling.

The Texas Lottery Game Behind the Million-Dollar Win

Honestly, if I were to win a big jackpot like that, I'd choose to remain anonymous too. This was the first of four top prizes in this game to be won. This particular scratch-off game could eventually pay out over $91 million in prizes, so there are plenty of chances left to win other top prizes in this game.

Could Scratch-Off Tickets Be a Holiday Gift?

With Christmas and other holidays on the way, more and more Texas Lottery scratch-off tickets are going to be sold and gifted to family members and co-workers. Scratch-off tickets can make great last-minute gifts and range in price from $1 to $100. Just the excitement of holding a ticket, knowing it could be the one to pay out big, is a great feeling, like this ticket was in Kilgore. Hopefully, someone you know will win a top prize thanks to a lottery scratcher that you give them.
