This weekend was tragic as homes were leveled, businesses were damaged and, unfortunately, some lost friends and family. But in that tragedy brings out the brave and selfless actions of law enforcement, first responders and everyday citizens.

One example is of members of law enforcement in Van Zandt county who came out to help only to have their home destroyed while helping others.

Another is of good samaritans who came to the rescue of two young children who were trapped in an overturned SUV in rushing flood waters in Myrtle Springs. The whole rescue was caught on video.

The initial word on the older child is looking good but not out of the woods yet.

This is a taste of what those first responders were called out to the aftermath of.

This footage was captured outside of Eustace.

Send prayers to all who were affected by the storms this weekend.
