Luxury RV Resort Park Opening In Winona, Texas This May
It is never too early to think about summer vacation. In most cases, now is the time to begin planning for that summer escape. Vacationing is the best part of the summer, especially as a kid! As an adult though, it's time away from the daily grind of the office and as a kid staying at home during the summer, it's an escape from the four walls that keep you in 'prison'!
Summer vacation doesn't have to be all that extravagant, you don't have to travel overseas to exotic locations or fly off to a major resort destination to experience a great time, you can have fun right here in your East Texas backyard. East Texas will soon have a new destination for family vacations that will go far beyond the summer.
Just south of the Barber Rd. exit on I-20 near Winona, there is a new RV resort opening just in time for late spring and summer activities to kick off. It will definitely become a staycation destination for those right here in East Texas. Even if you don't own an RV, like me, you can still book a stay here because they'll have at least 10 RVs available for rent or you can stay in their 5-bedroom rental house. Now if you do own an RV, there's plenty of space for it at this all concrete park because they have 170 spaces for rent.
This new destination has several summer-time amenities for the RV'er, like a saltwater lazy river, heated saltwater pools, one for the family, and an adult pool with a swim-up bar. This summer they'll also have an inflatable obstacle course on Wibit Lake. Since the pool is heated, this won't just be a summertime destination either. There are more exciting things available too, like an arcade, dog park, fishing, hiking and biking trails, playground, live music, and other activities planned for guests.
I will mention that I am not receiving compensation from this new RV resort for writing this article. As with anything, it caught my attention, and thought it was exciting news for East Texas (and RV travelers too) and I believe it would be a great option for a summer staycation right here in East Texas. I will say though, that if you're seriously thinking about staying here, you'll want to book soon because I'm sure they'll fill up quickly!
