Michael Douglas claims that actor Val Kilmer, is suffering from oral cancer, despite Kilmer previously and vehemently denying that he is sick.

Appearing at "An Evening with Michael Douglas at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane," a special Q&A event in London on October 30, the actor was addressing filming his 1996 movie with Kilmer, The Ghost and the Darkness, when he made made the grim allegation that "things don't look too good" for his former co-star.

"The picture didn’t turn out as well as I hoped but I had a wonderful time," he told host Jonathan Ross, according to PEOPLE. "Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look too good for him."

"My prayers are with him," Douglas added. "That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately."

In 2013, Douglas beat stage 4 oral cancer after a long battle with the illness.

In 2015, Kilmer was spotted at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles with what appeared to be a tracheostomy tube in his neck, which spurred rumors that the actor was ill. He later denied the rumors on his Facebook page

Kilmer has yet to respond to Douglas' claims about his health, though the actor was active on Facebook on October 31, where he gave fans an update about his film Cinema Twain and seemed to be in good spirits, writing, "'The recent news of my death has been greatly exaggerated...' MARK TWAIN. And his values and spirit live on even now! And I'm sure still standing! Yippee!"
