National Beer Day is coming up Friday, April 7th, and I think that's reason enough to celebrate. Why is this a holiday, and how should you celebrate? Read on for answers.

Why is April 7th celebrated as National Beer Day in the United States? In 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt signed a law that allowed Americans to brew and sell beer legally for the first time in 13 years.

How should you celebrate? First of all, RESPONSIBLY. Remember it's best to designate a driver. You can also take advantage of Uber and Lyft now available in Tyler as well.

Where can you celebrate? Though you could visit your favorite neighborhood bar, you could also check out one of the breweries now in Tyler.

True Vine Brewing Company is inviting people to come hang in the backyard tonight. They pull together an awesome community event monthly just outside of their brewery, and tonight from 5-10 p.m. they will have pizza and music, too. Their Facebook page is a great way to learn about the latest events they have scheduled, because they host fun events year round.

ETX Brewing Co. is another great option. They are located on South Broadway just off the square in Downtown Tyler, and recently participated in an awesome Off the Square Block Party. If you missed it, I'm sure they're scheduling another one soon. Watch their Facebook page for updates on events. They brew their own beer, and they have live music from The Clover Girl scheduled for Saturday, April 7.
