New Bike Trail Opens In Tyler

The Faulkner Park Bike Trail ribbon cutting ceremony was held earlier this morning marking the opening of a 6-mile bicycle loop track.  The bike trail was constructed with private donations and over 4000 volunteered man hours and heads through the East Texas woods while intersecting with a nature trail a few times.  Tyler's Mayor Barbara Bass was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony along with members of the Tyler Bicycle Club which was followed by a mountain bike and road bike ride.

Faulker Park is located on the West side of Hwy. 69 (S. Broadway) between Cumberland Rd. and Loop 49.

If you head out to the new bike trail make sure you wear your bike helmet.
