People Are Getting Tipsy from Gravy Shots at Thanksgiving

I’m guessing you’ve probably never tried a gravy shot before but it’s becoming a new trend, thanks to Tiktok. Yeah, someone has decided that people 21+ don’t have enough options when it comes to alcohol and now we’re trying gravy shots.

Just imagine gathering with family for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and you have family members passing out shot glasses, but the consistency is like no other drink you have seen in a shot glass before. Would you try it? I’m not so sure I would try this new trendy shot.

What Exactly is in a Gravy Shot?

According to The Takeout, Gravy Shots have actually been around since 2009. It can be done a couple different ways. The first is mixing bourbon into your gravy until it is drinkable.

The second way to make a gravy shot is to take a shot of bourbon and then drink some gravy to help with the kick that bourbon can bring. Although I would highly suggest not taking the gravy boat and chugging gravy, I can only imagine that other family members would not be very impressed.

Make Your Gravy Shot Fancy

If you really want to classy up your gravy shot you can add some brown sugar or herbs to the side of the shot glass which should give you more of those flavors you would expect around Thanksgiving.
