*NSYNC Won’t Join Justin Timberlake During Super Bowl Halftime Show
Nobody likes to be the bearer of bad news, but Joey Fatone had to be that person. Over the weekend, the former *NSYNC member squashed any hopes fans of the boy band may have had about a potential reunion during Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl halftime show.
TMZ was able to get a little time with Fatone after a dinner at Delilah. And when asked about the possibility of the band getting back together for the big show, he made his response pretty clear.
“I’m here right now," Fatone told TMZ's cameraman. "If I was doing something, I’d be at rehearsals right now. So obviously, there's your proof."
The cameraman then hounded him about the possibility of JT bringing Janet Jackson out after the 2004 Nipplegate fiasco, and Fatone's response to that was just as to-the-point and spot on.
“He’s not that kind of person," he said matter-of-factly. "He’s not controversial like that."
The question of a possible *NSYNC reunion originally spawned from a past interview Fatone had with TMZ in October, before Timberlake was even announced as the Super Bowl halftime performer. At the time, he made it sound like if the right things fell into place, it was a possibility, but it looks like they weren't able to work it out and JT will be ridin' solo to Minnesota in February.
