One Direction Reveal ‘Take Me Home’ Artwork + Release Date
The boys of One Direction goof around on a British telephone booth for the just-released cover photo of their second album, ‘Take Me Home.’
Poor Niall Horan is trying to make a simple call inside the phone booth — though he appears to be using his cell phone, oddly enough — while his bandmates do their best to distract him.
Somehow, Liam Payne ends up atop the booth. He’s holding onto Louis Tomlinson while Zayn Malik gives Tomlinson a boost. Meanwhile, the baby of the group, Harry Styles, plays the role of the cool, mature onlooker this time, as he stands back with his arms crossed and a bemused look on his face.
They’re all wearing either suit jackets or button-down shirts, looking a little more grown-up than on their ‘Up All Night’ album cover — but not by much. This is the playful, carefree One Direction that fans everywhere have come to love.
Start the countdown, Directioners: ‘Take Me Home’ will hit stores on Nov. 13, and pre-orders begin as early as next Monday, Sept. 3. According to a press release, the 1D guys co-wrote several songs on the new album and also worked with Ed Sheeran, Dr. Luke, Shellback and Toby Gad.
The first single, ‘Live While We’re Young,’ debuts on U.S. radio on Sept. 24 and hits iTunes on Oct. 1. The song is already the fastest-selling pre-order in history, and we have a hunch that the album might break some records too. There’s no stopping One Direction mania right now!
