Back in April it was reported that the queen of heavy cooking Paula Deen has been keeping a little secret from us. Ok maybe its not just a little secret, it's actually a pretty big deal. According to sources Paula Deen has been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and she's about to come clean about the rumors.

The National Enquirer and The Daily Mail were the first to report that the TV chef was hiding her disease, because she feared it would harm her credibility as a chef. There is no doubt that this would be a career killer, since Deen promotes heavy eating and love for fried foods and lots and lots of butter.

So if this is true, why wouldn't you protect your career and continue keeping it a secret? Well The Daily reports that Deen has signed a deal to endorse Novartis, a pharmaceutical diabetes medication. Leave it up to Paula Deen to turn a career killer into a money-maker. If this is true, Deen can add endorsement to her long list of accomplishments. She is also a published author, as you may remember her trip to Tyler recently for a book signing, as well as a clothing designer.

Granted, these sources aren't necessarily the most trustworthy of sources, but these claims do make sense. As much as I hope these rumors are not true for Paula's sake, this could be an eye opener and people will start keeping an eye on what they're eating.

What do you think? Do you think the rumors are true, and if so should she bring it out into the open?
