Are you already tired of the Texas heat and ready for the fall season?

To be honest, I don't mind the Texas summers, but I'm ALWAYS looking forward to fall. While it doesn't cool down much until around mid/end of October in Texas, there are SO many fun aspects to the fall season.

Trees change colors; pumpkin-flavored items are released; the air smells different; the heat is fading away; you get to have Thanksgiving foods; and best of all, Halloween!

Halloween is probably one of my favorite holidays, and many others seem to agree. There's just something special about it -- maybe it's the idea of having fun with friends, eating candy, and dressing up as something or someone different once a year.

Lately, it seems that the love for Halloween is spreading, and people are looking for more times to celebrate it. For instance, the trend of Summerween!

What is Summerween you ask?

If you haven't heard of it, Summerween is exactly what it sounds like -- celebrating Halloween in the summer. Now, it's not exactly the same as the holiday, but it takes a lot of the fun, wholesome elements of the day and puts them in summer.

For example, enjoying Summerween could be as simple as making spooky-themed drinks and foods; setting up an outdoor area with blankets and Halloween-themed decor; and putting on a scary movie.

But you can also find some year-round activities in Texas when you want to have a Summerween day.

Texas activities that feel like Halloween year-around

I saw a video on Instagram from user @theparanormalprincess_ that showcased so many fun, or you could say spooky, things to do around Central Texas. She shared some great spots to get into the Summerween spirit! Check them out in the video below:

Of course, this only showcases things to do in one area of Texas, but there are so many places where you can have a fantastic, spooky Summerween. If you live in East Texas, the town of Jefferson immediately comes to mind -- you'll find an iconic haunted hotel and many other paranormal attractions there.
