Woody Wandered Out Of The Woods, He’ll Make His Way To Your Heart
Knowing the back story of how an animal came to be under the care of the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler, Texas is pretty interesting. While many animals may be strays that were picked up on the side of the road, others were surrendered to the care of Pets Fur People in hopes of finding a fur-ever home.
This week's Pet Of The Week is Woody. Woody came straight out of the woods and right into the care of some workers at a plant in Tyler. They cared for him, nourished him, and then brought him to Pets Fur People so that they may help him find a proper home.
He is a little more than two years old, knows some basic commands, and apparently loves to ride around with his head out the window!
Pets Fur People's executive director Gayle Helms says Woody enjoys the company of other dogs, is super friendly and energetic, and would thrive in a house with older children, mainly due to his size.
Along the way somehow Woody was house-trained too!
Woody will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar and leash, and a big fluffy bed. For additional information on adopting Woody call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet.
Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow Pets Fur People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
