(Galveston, Texas)  Those planners that have had a booking aboard a Princess Cruises ship out of Galveston for the 2026 and 2027 seasons will now have to rebook on another cruise line or make alternate plans because the company has canceled all cruises aboard the Majestic Princess out of Galveston.

The ship was set to debut in Galveston in 2026 and depart for a series of 17 cruises over four months eventually calling Galveston its homeport.

Plans have changed for Majestic Princess

Princess Cruises made a statement stating the change was part of a broader deployment strategy across the country. The company tells Cruise Industry News,

Princess Cruises made the difficult decision to cancel all sailings onboard the Majestic Princess from Galveston scheduled between November 2026 and March 2027 as part of our broader global fleet redeployment strategy. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our global cruise offerings.

All affected passengers have been notified by the cruise line and are being offered other cruise opportunities or are being issued a full refund. This is not the end of the Majestic Princess, the company plans to announce details about its deployment in the near future.

Thankfully those affected passengers will have over a year to adjust their vacation schedule and it wasn't a sudden cancellation for them to ruin their vacation completely.

Princess Cruises will still operate out of the Port of Galveston with other ships, Ruby Princess and Regal Princess.
