This concert, the drone show, pep rally has now been canceled due to bad weather expected on Friday.

Here you can read about what was going to happen, but it's all been canceled.

Though there won't be a bonfire for homecoming this week at Stephen F. Austin State University due to a burn ban in Nacogdoches County, things will still be lit. Just off of his "Better Than Drugs" tour Atlanta "Airplanes" rapper B.o.B will be performing.

It's not often a grammy nominated Top 40 artist ventures this deep behind the pine curtain to perform. This is a special show just for homecoming this week on the SFASU campus.

Just last week he performed at Clemson University in South Carolina and had an entire stadium on its feet.

TikTok sensation @charlieonnafriday will also perform. His song 'Enough' is gaining big traction on the platform. The concert is Friday, October 28, 2022 on the Intramural Fields on the corner of Starr Avenue and Wilson Drive. The show starts at 8 p.m. with DJ Berio.

Who is B.o.B?

Born Bobby Ray Simmons, B.o.B really blasted into the music world in 2010. His album "The Adventures of Bobby Ray" was all over the radio. The song "Airplanes" with Hayley Williams of Paramore was a huge hit, and is still one of the most-played songs on the radio.

The song won the Teen Choice Award that year for best "Hook-Up" song. These are songs that kids who are now in college grew up on, thus all the college performances he is doing have been very well attended.

From that same album "Nothin' On You" with Bruno Mars was also a mega-hit. It won the best song of the year at the Soul Train Music Awards.

He is still putting out records to this day, and in this recent video he addresses some of his struggles with the media and the recording industry.
