Up to this point, I feel like most of us have been doing our best not to catch the novel Coronavirus.  Social distancing, sheltering in place, and quarantining have absolutely slowed the spread of this highly contagious and potentially deadly disease - but what if you actually catch it?  Health officials have also given plenty of information to us if we happen to comedown with it, but the next step - not so much.

More than 400,000 people worldwide have now recovered from the virus as of Saturday, including 31,066 in this country.  The business of getting back to some semblance of our former lives is the next logical step.  Luckily, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has outlined 3 things you need to check off of your recovery list before you're in the clear:

  1. You must be fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medications for at least 72 hours
  2. You must show improvement in  regards to respiratory symptoms like coughing and shortness of breath
  3. At least 7 days must have passed since symptoms first appeared.
