Paul Walker's death came as a shock to me over the weekend. As I was inundated with family and Holiday decorations, I had neglected the news and was saddened to learn of Paul Walker's death at the age of 40.

Though I am a fan of the Fast and Furious series, I first encountered Paul Walker in 1998's
Pleasantville, and remember photos of him papering the walls of friends bedrooms when we were in school. He was the beautiful blonde haired blue-eyed California dreamboat in a variety of teen movies while I was a teen.

He was the Star Quarterback in Varsity Blues, the bad boy in She's All That, and a member of the Skulls all before the Fast and Furious franchise ignited. His role as undercover cop Brian O'Connor in 2001's The Fast and the Furious was my favorite.

Though he continued to work in other films like Into the Blue, Running Scared and Flags of Our Fathers, his Fast and Furious role was his most lasting.

This is how I will remember Paul Walker...
