This morning as I 'shelter in place' and watch my church's service from my couch as opposed to the Shreveport Convention Center, my pastor, Justin Haigler, from The Simple Church, shared a video that hit me right in the heart!

This video is from March 26, 2020, on The Today Show.

So many of us are searching for hope right now in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. It's easy to get down and out when you think of how many ways our world has changed over a few short weeks. But it's also important to remember that we as a people, as a nation, as Christians, will always rise up.

Even if you aren't religious, or even spiritual, I hope you will take the time to really watch this video and remember that there are good people in this world and that the cream will always rise.

So, I challenge you to use your time, your talent, your resources to help those in need right now. Whether it's someone who is food insecure or a healthcare worker that needs a helping hand taking care of their family while they're trying to serve others. Every little bit helps. Let's start an epidemic of goodness here in Shreveport/Bossier!
