Springtime means storm time in East Texas. We are in the typical weather pattern where we have the potential of seeing severe weather move through our area that could consist of high winds, torrential down pours, hail and a tornado as well.

This next storm system isn't expected to be in East Texas until late Tuesday night sometime after 11 p.m. The line of storms that is expected to develop out to our west and move across East Texas could produce any of the previously mentioned and cause some property damage throughout East Texas. These storms are expected to reach the severe limits and it can't be ruled out that a tornado might spawn from these storms too, but that threat seems to be low for now.

We will monitor the changing weather conditions and keep you up to date on the severe weather potential that is threatening East Texas here on Mix 93-1 and from the KLTV 7 First Alert Weather Center.
