Someone in East Texas Just Won $500,000 on a Scratch Off Card
Somebody in East Texas is getting a sweet payoff just in time for the upcoming holidays.
This $10 Texas Lottery Scratch Off is called the $500,000 Lucky 7's Game. It features five top jackpots of half a million dollars.
Until October 28, two of those five had been claimed...one in Amarillo (September 9) and one in Stephenville (October 2).
Now We Have The Third Winner For This Game
Across the street from the First Baptist Church in Shepherd, you'll find TD's Supermarket and Feed. It's a small Exxon station on Highway 150, just west of Highway 59.
Someone walked into this store sometime during the past few days and spent $10 on this scratch-off game ticket. I can't even imagine the winner's reaction when it registered that he or she had just won half a million dollars.
Texas Two-Step Winner
Monday night's Texas Lottery drawing for the Texas Two-Step game produced two winning tickets for the $1.225 million jackpot. Those tickets were BOTH purchased at this S&Y Groceries store in Pasadena, Texas.
I'm a little puzzled by the strategy behind these two winning tickets. Both tickets were NOT quick picks. This is a pari-mutuel prize, meaning that the total prize allocation will be divided equally among multiple winners.
It would seem highly unlikely that two separate people picked the same numbers at the same store. But, why would one person pick the same numbers twice when they would only be splitting the winnings with him- or herself?
Whatever the case, the new Texas Two-Step jackpot is now $200,000.
