Stevie Jo Advances Past Battle Round #2 On The Voice

Tuesday night's episode of The Voice featured Team Usher's Stevie Jo battling it out with Morgan Wallen as they sang One Direction's "Story Of My Life". In the final battle round of the night, both guys really impressed all four judges but in the end Usher could only pick one.

After hearing remarks like:

"It's a song that was recorded by boys (referring to the members of 1D) but was performed by men on The Voice stage - Adam Levine

"I really enjoyed it - Shakira

"You never miss. I think I'd probably give that to Stevie Jo - Blake Shelton

Both contestants were left feeling very confident. Usher then had to make a decision between the two and remarked that Stevie Jo has a "soulful essence" and chose him to remain on his team and advancing him on to the next round.

Up next for Stevie Jo on Team Usher on The Voice is the playoffs, which kick off Tuesday of next week.
