That is what degreechoices.com did for us, ranking the top 45 most dangerous college campuses. There are many disclaimers in their study, as most of this information is self-reported by college campuses and their police force.
Four Texas Colleges Landed On The Most Dangerous List
If you have a kid in college in Texas you might be interested in which colleges made the list and where they ranked. Out of an estimated 4,500 colleges in the U.S. four Texas colleges ended up on the top 45 list.

Here are the four that made the list from the least to most dangerous.
26. UT Austin
The University of Texas is nestled in the capital city of the Lone Star State. There were 38 violent crimes on campus in 2022.
25. Texas Tech University
This college in Lubbock reported the same number of violent crimes in 2022 as UT, yet somehow fared one spot worse.
7. Texas State University
This campus in San Marcos was the 7th most dangerous in the country. Texas State had 64 violent crimes reported.
6. Texas A&M University
Also with 64 crimes reported this campus in College Station ranked the highest on the list in Texas.
