This news was somewhat surprising to some after a similar event, a convoy of vehicles sporting enough flags to rival the Olympic opening ceremonies, rolled through Longview this past Sunday.
Even if Longview ISD parents don't have time to feed their kids breakfast in the morning or the kids go off and forget their lunch, there will be no worries that their child will go hungry thanks to a new program next year.
Longview ISD will be spending nearly $3 million dollars on renovations to the athletic complex at Longview High School. The board of trustees unanimously approved the measure that would see improvements to Lobo Stadium and to both the baseball and softball fields.
Every child deserves the opportunity to earn a medal in competition no matter if they have limitations or not. On Friday morning, Longview ISD will hold the 2012 Special Education Track & Field Day at Lobo Stadium.
