MTV Video Music Awards Executive Producer Amy Doyle has confirmed to Billboard magazine that the show will “pay tribute” to Britney Spears on this year’s broadcast.
“Obviously everything from her choreography to her fashion to her videos will be (covered). We said, ‘Let’s challenge ourselves to do something unique’,” said Doyle.
Katy Perry increases her lead in the number of nominations for an MTV VMA this year, because MTV just announced a new category - "Best Video With A Message". Katy Perry is a nominee in this category along with Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Pink, Eminem & Rihanna and Rise Against. With this new nomination, Katy could be walking away with 10 moon men awards.
