Dating can be a terrifying event for many people. How you conduct yourself on the first date says a lot about you and often times many people are too shy and timid to open up in fear of saying the wrong thing. This can also be true of first-time encounters with anyone.

When you think of romantic American cities, maybe you think of the lights of New York City, the scenic fog of San Francisco, or the jazz clubs of Chicago. But how about Knoxville, TN? A new poll from Amazon says it’s the most romantic city in the United States.

We may think of the older generation as being less internet-savvy, but when it comes to love, that’s not entirely true — in fact, recent research indicates people over the age of 60 are the fastest growing demographic using online dating sites.

The American Film Institute created a list of  the 100 most romantic movies ever made. Because their list spans a good 7 or 8 decades, and doesn’t go past the ’90s, it doesn’t include a lot of our favorites. The movies that shaped our ideas of romance.

High school senior James Tate decided to go big when he asked friend Sonali Rodrigues to the prom last Friday. So, in the middle of the night, he taped large cardboard letters spelling out "Sonali Rodrigues, Will you go to prom with me? HMU - Tate" on an exterior wall of Shelton High School in Connecticut. (HMU stand for "Hit Me Up.")
