How far off are we from a Transformers/Power Rangers crossover?

We haven’t seen the last of ‘Transformers,’ or any of Hasbro’s other properties on the big screen. The toy company has now struck up a new deal with Paramount.

Transformers: The Last Knight probably won’t be the end of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies, and the series seems to be expanding, whether the people want it to or not. There’s a planned Bumblebee spinoff in the works, which will focus on the smallest of the Autobots before the events of the main Transformers series. Since we’re going back into the past with this, and since Hasbro’s Transformers toys first hit the market 30 years ago, it seems fitting that the Bumblebee movie is going to be set in the 1980s.

2017 will be the year that our most beloved heroes turn on us: from Dom Toretto flipping his family’s cars into each other to Optimus Prime trying to murder Bumblebee, it’s not looking good for the good guys. The latest poster for Transformers: The Last Knight makes no secret of Optimus’ new evil status. It tells us, “Rethink Your Heroes,” over an image of the Autobot holding a massive sword featured in promo art before while his eyes glow that all-too-familiar Decepticon blue.

It's no secret of my fandom for Transformers and yesterday's release of the trailer for the fifth installment of the robots in disguise has me excited.

Brits are in uproar over the newest installment in the Transformers franchise, as photos were published yesterday of Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, dressed up in Nazi flags. Yeah, that Winston Churchill, the one who told Hitler that no, he was not allowed to invade Russia, sorry not sorry.

It looks like Bumblebee is getting a bit of a makeover for the new Transformers sequel — not that it’s the first time. The friendly Autobot capable of stealthily upgrading his wheels has traded in his 2014 Camaro for a newer model, though he’s still sporting his signature colors, of course. Michael Bay revealed Bumblebee’s new look over the weekend, and if you’re a fan of cars — or of Transformers — then you’ll probably want to take a look.

Transformers: The Last Knight recently (as in, like, two days ago) began filming in Cuba, with a small crew shooting a few scenes before principal production moves to Detroit on June 6. With that in mind, a new viral video for the fifth installment in the franchise is hinting at the arrival of something big on May 31 — which could very well be the first official teaser.

You'll be hard-pressed to find many people who actually liked 'Transformers: Age of Extinction.' But unlike the previous three movies in this franchise, the box office actually reflected that. With the film currently struggling to hit $250 million at the domestic box office (despite doing great numbers overseas), it isn't that surprising that director Michael Bay is jumping ship on 'Transformers 5'.

Okay, so only one new movie this week, but it's a biggie: the fourth installment in the robot-alien-EXPLOSIONS!!! saga based on a 1980s cartoon.
