It’s crazy that there are now self-driving vehicles on the road. Which is great, but I think people are more excited about the possibility to not be stuck in traffic and instead be able to fly to your destination.

According to KVUE, there are several aviation companies that are working on advancing the electric vertical takeoff and landing.

Joby Aviation has partnered with Delta Air Lines and Archer Aviation is working with United Airlines on this new technology.
Flying Taxis Will Be the Future of Transportation
These flying taxis are known as eVTOLs or ‘electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle’. And many transportation experts say that these are the future of transportation as they can go speeds of 200 miles per hour, with a range of around 100 miles.
While I am excited for this new technology, I want to let other people work out the kinks of these new eVTOLs. After I see them working for a while and no one is being injured or killed, then I would feel comfortable looking into one of these for transportation purposes.
