Rockwall harmonica player Paul Harrington is finally getting paid.

Harrington's craft is featured in the 2013 hit single 'Timber' performed by rapper Pitbull and vocalist, Kesha.

Harrington is a Dallas session musician who claims he was hired to imitate Lee Oskar's harmonica lick from War's 'San Fransico Bay.' Initially he was paid for his part in the recording, but shortly after the song climbed to the top of the charts, and Harrington was left wondering if the royalties would ever roll in.

Luckily, Harrington's band mate was also an entertainment lawyer who helped him discover an additional way to be paid, the Digital Performance Right in Sound Recordings Act, which allows studio musicians to receive royalties for songs played over the internet.

Harrington told WFAA in Dallas, "I've been doing this a long time, and it is nice to get acknowledged -- that's really the deal," he said. "The history of the business is that most people don't get acknowledged."
