Who is 50 Cent and what does he have to do with Shreveport, LA?

50 Cent is an American rapper and actor who recently leased Millennium Studios from the City of Shreveport to house his new G-Unit Film and Television Studio enterprise. The 48-year-old entertainer broke out in 2003 with his debut album Get Rich or Die Trying which spawned hits like In da Club, P.I.M.P., 21 Questions, and Wankster. In 2005, 50 Cent made his feature film debut in Get Rich or Die Trying, an American crime drama.

Since then, he's expanded his music and acting empire with his own champagne and cognac brands Le Chemin Du Roi and Branson Cognac, and stepping out into the world of boxing, investments, luxury brands, apparel, water, video games, and more. Arguably, his most famous role is that of Kanan Stark in Power on Starz. He both acted and was a producer on the show.

Now that you have a brief overview of 50's insane accomplishments, let's fast forward to today. He has G-Unit at Millennium Studios in Shreveport, and reportedly, at least according to rumors online, 50 and his girlfriend, Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines, have ended things.
