Have you ever visited the Goose Island Oak? It's also known as the "Big Tree", and it's said to be the oldest oak tree in Texas. It can be found in Goose Island Park near the town of Rockport and is somewhere between 1,110 and 2000 years old. Its circumference is more than 35 feet and it's over 45 feet tall. The crown of the tree spreads a massive 90 feet. It is believed to be the second-largest live oak tree in Texas, and would likely be even larger if it wasn't for the almost constantly blowing Gulf breeze that has limited its height.
