This Texas Man Survived Not One but Two National Tragedies

We know Texas has had its share of tragedies. To live though 1 horrible event in United States history is one thing but to live through ANOTHER year just years later? That's just wild. But that's exactly what happened to one North Texas man as he survived 2 tragedies that occurred 20 years apart.

This is the story of Marcus Kergosein & the North Allen Shooting

On May 6, 2023, the Allen Premium Outlets became the sight of a deadly shooting: 33 year old Martinez Garcia went to the mall with an AR-15 rifle. He would shoot & kill 8 people; Martinez would be the 9th fatality as he would die in the gun fight.

Marcus Kergosein was running the Zwilling store at the mall when the shooting occurred. He talked to WFAA News to talk about his story but also to shed light on one victim who tragically lost his life in FRONT of his store.

The other national tragedy Marcus Kergosein survived were the September 11 Attacks

Yup, one of the darkest days in American history was September 11, 2001. Marcus survived THIS tragedy too. At the time Marcus was 32 years old and he was late for a 9am meeting that was supposed to be held at the North Tower. He was right underneath the South Tower when he saw the smoke & heard an explosion from that very same building that he was supposed to be in...

His story was also told on the news and even shared some incredible shots of the Towers on that fateful morning...

I think it's safe to say that luck was certainly on Marcus' side on BOTH of these days. Our prayers & condolences go to the victims of the North Allen shooting and the 9/11 attacks...
