Supposedly this battleship is haunted and new reports of paranormal activity pop up every year.

Ever Been Aboard the USS Lexington?

If you ever make a trip to Corpus Christi, Texas. For the history lovers out there, you can take a tour aboard the USS Lexington. This former World War 2 battleship has been turned into a museum that is docked near the shore. Since 1991, the ship has been upgraded with features like a theater, flight simulator, and an escape room. Many ships like this teach the history of the battles they took part in, but this ship does something a little different during October.

USS Lexington, One of the Most Haunted Places in Texas

If you enjoy a spooky road trip during October. The USS Lexington is always on the lists of most haunted places in Texas. The battleship actually embraces the haunted rumors, by doing overnight ghost tours where you get to spend the night aboard the ship.

This year's next paranormal event is already sold out. However, I learned a portion of the ship also turns into a haunted house during the fall that guests can enter...if they dare.

I don't know how many battleships in America have haunted houses in them during October, but the USS Lexington has you exploring over 80 different compartments aboard the ship as you attempt to navigate the dark and scary corridors. The haunted house is typically only open Fridays and Saturdays in October and always on Halloween night. Most haunted houses are not actually haunted, but as I mentioned above. The USS Lexxington does have a history of paranormal activity, so you could run into an actual ghost.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
