The NFL announced New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would be suspended four games without pay for his role in "Deflategate," and his team would be fined $1 million.

The NFL feels that Tom Brady was "at least generally aware of what was going on" and said in a statement that the punishment was “imposed for violations of the NFL Policy on Integrity of the Game and Enforcement of Competitive Rules relating to the use of under-inflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game of this past season."

Reaction to the punishment has been varied from fans of the game to the professionals that play the game.
