
Tragic Death at Texas Truck Stop After Man Run Over
(El Paso, Texas) There was an incident that took place on the Easter holiday at a Texas truck stop that escaladed quickly resulting in one man’s death.
It’s so heartbreaking for everyone involved and it will be difficult to ever know what truly happened that early morning.

What Started as a Fight Ended in a Death
It was early morning on Sunday, April 20th when a 911 call was made about a fight in progress taking place at a Petro Travel Center in Socorro, Texas which is a suburb of El Paso, Texas.
According to CDL Life, it was two younger men one was 18, the other was 20.
While police officers rushed to the scene there were other civilians who jumped in to try to save one of the young men.

Details about the Fight at the Truck Stop
The two men began fighting, no one is sure what the fight was about.
Witnesses told police that the 20-year-old suspect Abraham Alvarado ran over the 18-year-old victim Leonel Monarrez.
The vehicle used was a gray SUV according to multiple people who saw the incident unfold.
Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done to save Monarrez as he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Murder Charges Have Been Filed
While this incident is still under investigation there have been murder charges that were filed.
Abraham Alvarado was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $650,000.
The suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
