Thursday, the Tyler Municipal Rose Garden will celebrate their new designation as a Great Public Space.

The celebration is set to begin at 11:30 am. The public is invited to attend and honor the recognition by the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association.

“The Rose Garden is an important part of our history and our community,” Heather Nick AICP, Managing Director said in a Press Release. “We want people to come to Tyler from all over the world and enjoy this great place!”

Here's a fun fact. Did you know that the Tyler Municipal Rose Garden is a 14-acre park with 38,000 rose bushes?

Yep, and that makes it the nation’s largest rose garden. With over 500 different varieties, from tall grafted rose trees to miniature roses no larger than a dime. The park is most beautiful in the Spring and Fall.

The Tyler Municipal Rose Garden is free and open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset.
