Hit The Bricks, MLK Parades, Trail Runs Top East Texas Weekend Events
For a lot of East Texans, this week was a long one because there wasn't a holiday at the beginning of the week like there has been the past two weeks to give us a four-day work week. We're tired! We miss that four-day workweek schedule! At least we've survived it and now we can relax some because the weekend is here.
With the arrival of the weekend comes a variety of events that we all can participate in and be a part of while supporting our communities and our local businesses at the same time. Downtown Tyler is hosting their monthly Hit The Bricks events, there are a couple of trail runs happening in Longview along with parades marking the MLK Day holiday on Monday.
This weekend's weather is going pretty typical with average to chilly temperatures so enjoy the sunshine, the breeze, and the 50s while you can because Monday is going to be a different animal once the Arctic front passes through late Sunday evening.
Here's a look at this weekend's events in East Texas.
