Nearly 30 new homes proudly built by Tyler area builders are showcasing their creations during the 71st annual Tyler Parade Of Homes. If you're thinking about building or considering a remodel of any kind this is a great opportunity to get some inspiration and some ideas that you can incorporate into your project. There is an admission charge for viewing the homes on display.
'All Hands On Deck' Boat Run

Lake Tyler Marina - Tyler
It's a day of fun on the waters of Lake Tyler and raising money for the American Cancer Society. There will be nine dock stops along the run where you collect tickets for a chance to win prizes. You can be a 'Land Hand', 'Boat Hand' or a 'Boat Rider'. Admission is required to participate in the boat run. It's a day of fun, food, drinks and prizes.
Ark-La-Tex Tattoo & Art Expo

Maude Cobb Activity Center - Longview
The 5th Annual Ark-La-Tex Tattoo & Art Expo will feature award-winning artists, live music, tattoo contests, kids attractions, art exhibits, food vendors and more. There is an admission fee to attend.

Mt. Pleasant Rodeo Grounds - Mt. Pleasant
It's rodeo time in Mt. Pleasant. Let the kids entertain you with mutton bustin' and then the big show with bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. There is an admission fee for this event.
Retro Car Show Series

Gilmer Civic Center - Gilmer
The car show will feature classic cars and trucks, street rods, muscle cars, convertibles, imports, modern cars and trucks, slingshots, and motorcycles. Proceeds benefit the Historic Upshur Museum.

Longview Arboretum and Nature Center - Longview
Belle, Cinderella, and all their princess friends will be visiting the beautiful gardens of the Longview Arboretum on June 1st from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Due to the unexpected forecast we don’t plan to cancel. We will meet indoors at the Arboretum if we have rain.
But we’re hoping for sunshine and clear skies! ☀️🌸 There is a fee to attend this event. Arboretum’s daily pass is $5.00. Arboretum members and children under the age of 6 are free!

"The Recipe" Teen Writing Workshop. These workshops are designed to develop critical thinking skills, advocate for cognitive development, and provide a healthy space for our youth to express their emotions and concerns.
Through these workshops, we aim to help our participants identify social dynamics, navigate peer pressure, and embrace life on a larger scale. Whether they are already writers or just starting to explore their creativity, we want to provide them with the opportunity to delve into the world of writing.
Rueggenfest 2024 - An Inaugural Event

Join us for our grand opening event, the first annual Rueggenfest! June 1 marks six months to the day that we have been open to the public. We want to show our appreciation and celebrate with you! This 12-hour event is free to the public and will take up the entirety of the Marshall downtown square, with our historic courthouse as the focal point. It will boast live music, local vendors and food trucks, live music all day, kids and adult races and contests, kids crafts, face painting, corn hole tournament, local wine, and of course your favorite craft beer! We welcome musicians Lee Mathis and the Brutally Handsome, Dagnabbit, Clint and the Cosmic Wake, The Bison, and to end our festivities, Mr Wes Jeans.
