You Can Still Sign Up for the Record Breaking Big Bass Splash

Today, thousands of anglers are standing in lines at Umphrey Family Pavilion at Lake Sam Rayburn. Tomorrow is day one of the record-breaking 40th Annual Big Bass Splash.

Some fishermen have already registered online and are getting their tournament ID cards, t-shirts, and other tourney necessities. Others are going through the registration process for the first time.

This 40th annual event promises a guaranteed payout of $1.3 million in cash and prizes. That makes this the richest payout for a bass tourney, amateur or otherwise.

There will be a total of $571,000+ in hourly cash payouts, and the grand prize winner is going to be awarded a prize package that's valued at $300,000. That huge stash includes a new Phoenix boat, a new Ram Truck, and a check for $150,000.

You Can Still Register

The Thursday before any of the Sealy Outdoors Big Bass Splash events is always the big registration day, but you can still get signed up after today's registration has wrapped up.

Today's registration should be done sometime around 8 p.m. Then, on Friday morning, sign-ups will again be taken beginning at 5 a.m. You can register for one, two, or all three days of the tournament.

Registrations will again be taken starting around 3 p.m. on Friday. Then the sign-up process will repeat on Saturday and on Sunday morning
